If you had to simplify your life and keep only a few important possessions, what would you keep and why? What would be hardest to leave behind?

 A few important possessions that I would keep if I had to leave everything behind would be the tree nut my boyfriend and I grabbed on our first date, my jewelry that my grandmother passed down to me, and pictures. It would be really hard for me to leave some things behind. I am not close with my family so I don't think I would struggle very much with leaving them behind. I am not really close with my friends so yes it would suck but I believe that I would get over it. My boyfriend on the other hand, I am very close to him so if I had to leave him behind I would be really upset.

What life skills have you learned in high school that will help you live independently after high school? Which skills do you think are essential for your success after high school?

 One life skill that I have learned in high school is how to manage my time wisely. It has helped me a lot in and out of school. Time management is a very useful skill that everyone will need to learn at some point in their life whether it is for school or not. Some skills that I believe will help me be successful after high school are communication, time management, and learning how to balance everything in my life. All of these skills will help me not only in school but also in life.  Today in class we continued to work on Rhetoric skills. I learned about many new types of Rhetorics.

Reflect on a time when you paused to appreciate the beauty of nature, much like the speaker in “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening.” Where were you, what did you notice, and how did that moment of stillness make you feel or change your perspective?

 One time that I paused to take in the nature around me was at horseback riding. At my barn, there is this mini lake and I love to walk around it on my horse. One of these days, it was the perfect weather, I had a really good ride, and the sun was at the perfect golden hour. I was walking along and paused for a moment to really look around and appreciate everything around me. It was so beautiful and peaceful. I wanted to live in that moment forever. Today in class we started our one pager poem projects I learned about another one of  Robert Frost's poems.
