What is the most challenging part of working in a group? Discuss a time when a group assignment did not go as well as you planned and how you learned from that experience.

 The most challenging part of working in a group is dividing up the work load. I am a perfectionist so I prefer to work alone. When I am working in a group though, I try to push those feelings aside and get the work done. Also, I usually end up having to lead the group which is tiring after a while. For example, in my ROTC class, I am in a leadership role so everyone always relies on me to figure everything out. At the same time though, I feel bad if I am not doing something. That is why I like to do projects alone. Classwork on the other hand, I don't have these problems that badly. 

Today in class we worked on a writeable.

I learned what a good, bad, and ok Rhetorical response looks like.

What metaphor would you use to describe your own mind?

 My mind is like a battlefield. Every day, all of my feelings, thoughts, and desires all face each other. It is a constant battle to see who is right. My mind is never calm, it is always thinking about something, or trying to figure something out. Every day, I have to have this battle to see if my negative or positive thoughts will win. Not just daily, but in every scenario I have to see who will win.  Today in class we analyzed more poems by Emily Dickerson. What I learned was I need to work on my deeper thinking skills. I have a hard time focusing on what I am reading so I need to learn to get better with that so I can analyze her poems better.

What life skills have you learned in high school that will help you live independently after high school? Which skills do you think are essential for your success after high school?

 One life skill that I have learned in high school is how to manage my time wisely. It has helped me a lot in and out of school. Time management is a very useful skill that everyone will need to learn at some point in their life whether it is for school or not. Some skills that I believe will help me be successful after high school are communication, time management, and learning how to balance everything in my life. All of these skills will help me not only in school but also in life.  Today in class we continued to work on Rhetoric skills. I learned about many new types of Rhetorics.
