After two weeks of studying rhetorical devices, types of rhetoric, and methods for identifying rhetorical techniques, which rhetorical device do you find most effective or compelling, and why?

 The rhetorical device that I find the most useful is Hyperbole. When I am telling a story, or venting about something that is on my mind I always use a Hyperbole. They have helped me a lot in the classroom and in my daily life. Also, they help me in multiple classes, not just American Literature. My AP American History class I have to do a lot of writing and all Rhetoric's, not just Hyperbole all help me.

 An adventure I would like to go on is a trip throughout Europe. I have always wanted to visit there since I was a little girl. I could never decide on where I wanted to go the most so, what I would do is travel to them all. I would take a flight there to Europe, and slowly work my way through each country. I would love to visit Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Rome, and Greece. If I do this, then I would be able to visit them all.  Today in class, we finished presenting our origin myth posters. We then, started working on analyzing Emily Dickerson's poems.  I learned about what a great poet Emily was.

 One thing I have always been curious about is why we humans have never fully explored the ocean. Everyone is willing and eager to go and explore space but what about our own planet. Everyone wants us to keep pushing to put the first man on Mars but I believe that we should explore our own planet first before venturing out farther.
