how the masks in the film represent the pressure to fit in and the struggle to discover who you really are. Choose one moment from the film that stood out to you and explain why. Then, connect the film’s message to Langston Hughes’ poem “I, Too” and to the mask you are creating in class. What part of your identity do you want your mask to reveal?

In the film Identity, the masks represent the pressure to fit in and hide who you really are. The moment that stood out most to me was when the main character finally removes her mask in the hallway, showing both the fear and freedom that come with revealing your true self. This connects to Langston Hughes' poem "I, Too", which also focuses on being overlooked but still believing your identity deserves to be seen. For the mask I'm creating in class, I want it to reveal my personality.

Today in class we worked on creating a mask.

I learned about what culture I am.
