Thinking about "The Rockpile," what is something your parents forbade you from doing when you were growing up? Explain what it was and why they might have set that rule.

 One thing my parents forbade me from doing when I was a kid was walking alone. If I wanted to go for a walk, I had to have someone go with me. I had this rule set until I was 14. My parents set this rule because there is a lot of creepy people in the world. They wanted to make sure I was safe and lower the risk of something bad happening to me.

 An adventure I would like to go on is a trip throughout Europe. I have always wanted to visit there since I was a little girl. I could never decide on where I wanted to go the most so, what I would do is travel to them all. I would take a flight there to Europe, and slowly work my way through each country. I would love to visit Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Rome, and Greece. If I do this, then I would be able to visit them all.  Today in class, we finished presenting our origin myth posters. We then, started working on analyzing Emily Dickerson's poems.  I learned about what a great poet Emily was.

 One thing I have always been curious about is why we humans have never fully explored the ocean. Everyone is willing and eager to go and explore space but what about our own planet. Everyone wants us to keep pushing to put the first man on Mars but I believe that we should explore our own planet first before venturing out farther.
