Write about an adventure you would like to go on

 An adventure I would like to go on is a trip throughout Europe. I have always wanted to visit there since I was a little girl. I could never decide on where I wanted to go the most so, what I would do is travel to them all. I would take a flight there to Europe, and slowly work my way through each country. I would love to visit Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Rome, and Greece. If I do this, then I would be able to visit them all. 


Today in class, we finished presenting our origin myth posters. We then, started working on analyzing Emily Dickerson's poems. 


I learned about what a great poet Emily was.

What metaphor would you use to describe your own mind?

 My mind is like a battlefield. Every day, all of my feelings, thoughts, and desires all face each other. It is a constant battle to see who is right. My mind is never calm, it is always thinking about something, or trying to figure something out. Every day, I have to have this battle to see if my negative or positive thoughts will win. Not just daily, but in every scenario I have to see who will win.  Today in class we analyzed more poems by Emily Dickerson. What I learned was I need to work on my deeper thinking skills. I have a hard time focusing on what I am reading so I need to learn to get better with that so I can analyze her poems better.

What life skills have you learned in high school that will help you live independently after high school? Which skills do you think are essential for your success after high school?

 One life skill that I have learned in high school is how to manage my time wisely. It has helped me a lot in and out of school. Time management is a very useful skill that everyone will need to learn at some point in their life whether it is for school or not. Some skills that I believe will help me be successful after high school are communication, time management, and learning how to balance everything in my life. All of these skills will help me not only in school but also in life.  Today in class we continued to work on Rhetoric skills. I learned about many new types of Rhetorics.
